Do you want to be part of an innovative technical team advancing patient healthcare Join Thermo Fisher Scientific's Protein Diagnostic Division as a System Engineer Intern! You will contribute to the design and development of products used in clinical laboratories to diagnose patient diseases. You will collaborate with customers, developers and testers to ensure products exceed customer expectations.
**A day in the Life:**
+ Assist in the collection and analysis of user and stakeholder requirements for medical device systems.
+ Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs to ensure successful project outcomes.
+ Support compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
+ Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations on system architecture, design, and functionality.
+ Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including requirements specifications, design documents, and interface control documents.

+ Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
+ Participate in risk management activities, including hazard analysis and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
* Support and maintain applications across multiple languages and platforms hosted on cloud platforms.
* Provide consulting services to clients on managing applications on various cloud platforms.
* Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across multiple stacks.
* Utilize expertise in custom skills, including at least two primary technology skills (e.g., Java, Open Source, databases, Integration technologies, Mainframe, IBMi, and Data AMS).

**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Proven experience as a Systems Engineer focusing on requirements validation and verification.
* Proficiency in using MOSAIC methods or similar systems engineering approaches.
* Strong familiarity with Jira and other relevant project management tools.
* Exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
* Knowledge of MOD processes and procedures is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
