1. Provide a quality care and support service for residents, taking into consideration their personal preferences, under supervision, and in line with Sanctuary Care policies and procedures.
li>Responsible for the safe and effective administration of medication in line with individual care plans and company policy when trained to do so.
2. Deliver personal care and treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness. Provide support to residents in making personal choices that enrich their lives while maintaining their dignity.
3. Ensure that care plans are continually tailored to individual needs with the involvement of the resident in order that the appropriate level of support is provided for all aspects of daily living.
4. Support risk assessments to ensure that care and support are provided in line with the relevant health and safety requirements.
5. Assist residents with individual and group activities, including social interaction, in line with individual care and support plans.

**To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care**

As the Support Worker your key duties include:

• Be an essential part of the team, promoting the well-being and providing the highest quality of care to residents
• Assist with daily tasks, inclusive of all personal care assistance from supporting with personal hygiene, through to days out and companionship
• Encourage independence, well-being and supporting vulnerable individuals with their daily routines and activities

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Have a genuine desire to care for others
• A good team player
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to show a can-do attitude always

The successful Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £12.60 per hour and the annual salary is £23,587.20 per annum. ABOUT YOU
You should have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Senior Care Assistant. We'll also need to see that you have specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. We're looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. You'll have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, so there's no limit to how far you can go with us. Many of our Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioner, Regional Carer or nursing roles.
