Occasionally she has two PA's working for activities such as swimming. As a PA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to this young disabled lady. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for her by assisting her with daily activities and ensuring her comfort and wellbeing.
*Responsibilities*
* Provide personal care and support, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Follow a moving and handling plan, ensuring her safety at all times. She is wheelchair dependent and is hoisted at all times.
* Meal preparation and feeding special diet and nasogastric tube.
* Maintain accurate records of care plans and client progress, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
* Communicate effectively with client, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Our daughter is cognitively very bright and outgoing, leads a busy life. She likes socialising with friends and needs upbeat people to assist her. Her interests are:- drama, music, swimming, sailing, travel to name just a few.
* Drive to various locations as required for social activities or appointments. She has her own adapted vehicle.
* Participate in training provided (paid and certified).
* Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programmes to promote mental wellbeing.
*Skills*
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact.
* Ability to drive is essential for all PA's.
* Experience or knowledge of working as a PA is advantageous.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
* Ability to work on a 1:1 basis but as part of a team.
