Are you currently supporting vulnerable adults with special needs in a care setting? Finding the long hours tiring? Wanting a better work life balance? This may be just the ticket for you.
Zen Educate are interested in taking on anyone that has experience supporting special needs in care that would like to transfer their skills into a school environment supporting students with special needs. This can either be on a full time or part time basis, since we can support with both. Students can have a range of needs including autism, downs syndrome, MLD, SLD among others.
Working hours are 8:30-3:30, between Monday to Friday and term time only.
Requirements;
- Experience in special needs, supporting either adults or children
- Able to do personal care if needed and have experience in using hoist equipment
- Can handle challenging behaviours with firm boundaries but lots of empathy
- Flexible to the needs of the school and can work and support more than one student should it be required
- Willing to undertake online training to help prepare you with working in a school environment
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, either one already held or done on application
