Our personal care assistants join our client’s support team, providing reliable, essential care and support in their home. You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only. This role is to work Saturday and Sunday, 12hr day shifts.
About the Client and Duties
Our client is a young man in his 20's with a brain injury and complex care needs. Our client needs structure, routine and support with everyday tasks to enable him to access the community and social activities.
The ideal support worker for this package will have a calm, patient and kind nature. You should be an excellent communicator with good verbal skills as our client does not have verbal speech and instead communicates through facial expressions, 'Eye Gaze' communication device and body language.
You will need to be a driver with a full, UK driving licence and will be expected to drive our clients adapted vehicle to appointments and accompany him to participate in leisure activities.
Complex care and personal care is required in this role and it is desirable that you have experience of these.
