I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Event Manager to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract .
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a varied portfolio of live, virtual and hybrid events including conferences, exhibitions and awards. You'll be responsible for managing projects from end to end, ensuring they run seamlessly and exceed client expectations.
The role will involve:
Operational planning and delivery of multiple events
Managing budgets, suppliers, timelines and logistics
Leading on client communications to ensure exceptional service
Overseeing junior colleagues where appropriate
Some UK travel, with occasional overnight stays
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of three years' experience at Event Manager level (and at least five years in the events industry overall)
Experience delivering a variety of event formats (live, virtual, hybrid)
Strong budgeting and financial management skills
Impeccable attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple deadlines
Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills (experience with Cvent desirable)

The role
The role of Venue & Events Coordinator will assist in all aspects of conference and events administration, venue sourcing and management as well as individual hotel bookings relating client specific requirements. Working on their bespoke booking platform you will research venues and destinations, negotiate rates, work closely with DMCs and create winning proposals for your clients. You will also attend industry fam trips and events to broaden your venue knowledge.
About you
We are looking for experience ideally in venue sourcing and supporting events such as meetings, incentives and conferences - an Event Administrator, Venue Finder or Events Coordinator who is looking for an opportunity to progress and work with a fantastic team! Agency experience / venue finding experience is preferred however we would also consider hotels / MICE industry background. This is an office based role, driving license and own car essential.
