DCS engineering are currently recruiting a detail oriented, methodical FAIR inspector on behalf of our market leading subcontract aerospace client. You will have excellent computer / Microsoft literacy skills and experience of manufacturing and exposure to detailed engineering drawings.
About the opportunity
As the first article inspection report (FAIR) inspector you will play an integral part in:
- Following a detailed process manual to prepare the files and folder structure for FAIRs.
- Submitting the FAIR to clients or uploading to a client portal.
- Work closely with the management team to ensure client requirements are met on time.
- Maintain a suite of KPIs to track the performance of the FAIR process.
You will develop on existing knowledge and experience, keeping up to date with the best practice and participate in internal and external training. You will also work closely with the quality departments from other companies within the group, clients and suppliers as part of the wider aerospace supply chain.
Preferred Skills
- Aerospace / other highly regulated industry experience in a FAIR collation / Submission role.
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes (preferably aerospace sheet metal or assembly).
- Proven ability to read and understand aerospace sheet metal / assembly drawings and the related tolerances.
- Experience of manual inspection and the measuring of parts.
- Expertise in:
- FAIR Collation (typically to AS9102)
- FAIR review / Approval.
- FAIR submission (via Net-Inspect / other).
- Demonstrated evidence of FAIR experience.
- Excellent PC / Microsoft suite (word/excel/nuance etc) Skills.

To provide detail inspection of aerospace components in accordance with AS9102 and drawing requirements. Role will involve the creation of paperwork and pack collation, physical measurements inspection and comunication of findings to senior management. Current project for Augusta Westland US101 program.
Key responsibilities:
- Compile and document the findings of the inspection, including any discrepancies or deviations from the specified requirements. (First Article Inspection Report)
- Conduct visual and physical inspections of product to ensure it meets all design specifications, manufacturing tolerances, and other requirements. Establish component traceability is in place and complies with all local procedures for first article inspection.

**Skills:**
- Confident in the use of hand-held measurement equipment and CMM machines, trained in AS9102 inspection methods / disciplines, Aerospace tracability requirements, experience working within AS9100 approved organisations.
- Understanding and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and related documentation to ensure accurate inspection.
- Formal AS9102 inspection training essential.
- Attention to detail, good communication skills, and computer proficiency are essential.

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, Walsall Council , for a Fair Access & Missing Education Caseworker to support Children's Service's on a temporary basis.
The role plays the crucial role of supporting the Fair Access Protocol and Children Missing Education and Fair Access Panels.
Daily Duties :
- Administration Tasks - including being the main point of contact for verbal and written communication. You will be responsible for maintaining the general inbox using Outlook and telephone queries.
- Database Management - You will record, update and maintain information using Capita and other CRM systems used. You will also investigate any discrepancies and use updated information to follow up with appropriate Services, Schools and other Teams within Walsall Council to ensure consistency.
- Pupil Placement and Tracking - Liaise with parent, Schools, Service Users and Providers and other Teams within the department to track pupils who have moved out of the borough, excluded pupils and place them back into education. Tracking pupils attendance, collating reports from information recorded.
Essential Experience:
- Strong experience in previous Administration or similar roles is essential.
- Previous experience within an Education setting is preferred, not essential.
- Enhanced DBS is required. If you do not currently hold one, Opus People Solutions will process one for you.
- Knowledge and understanding of MS365 packages, including MS Teams, Outlook and Excel.
- Previous experience in a busy office environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Strong ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and adaptable to reprioritise in cases of urgent matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Ability to work well within a Team, also having strong initiative to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills.
