Job Description
Our client, a premier flight training academy, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Remote Commercial Pilot Instructor to deliver high-quality theoretical and practical flight instruction. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to leverage your expertise to train aspiring aviators from the convenience of your home office. You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging flight training curriculum, focusing on areas such as aerodynamics, meteorology, navigation, air law, aircraft systems, and human performance. The role involves preparing students for their commercial pilot license (CPL) examinations, including both theoretical knowledge tests and practical flight assessments.
Key responsibilities include designing lesson plans, creating training materials, and facilitating virtual classroom sessions, webinars, and one-on-one coaching. You will assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback and personalised support to ensure learning objectives are met. Maintaining accurate student records and ensuring compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and training standards is paramount. A significant part of the role will involve staying updated on the latest aviation technologies, training methodologies, and regulatory changes. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the training programs, collaborating with other instructors and the training management team to enhance the student experience and learning outcomes.
The ideal candidate will hold a current ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) or CPL with an Instrument Rating and relevant instructor qualifications (e.g., Flight Instructor Certificate, Instrument Instructor Certificate). A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in professional aviation, preferably with instructional experience, is required. Excellent knowledge of aviation theory, regulations, and best practices is essential. Strong virtual communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are crucial for effectively engaging students in a remote learning environment. You must be highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing your time effectively to meet teaching schedules and student needs. Familiarity with e-learning platforms and virtual training technologies is a significant advantage. A passion for aviation education and a commitment to fostering the next generation of pilots are essential qualities. This remote role offers a competitive salary, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the aviation training industry.
