Our client, a renowned national charity dedicated to (charity cause, e.g., supporting disadvantaged youth), is seeking a passionate and organised Charity Events Coordinator to join their team in **Manchester, Greater Manchester, UK**. This role is crucial for planning, organising, and executing a variety of fundraising and awareness events, ranging from small community gatherings to larger galas and sponsored challenges. You will be responsible for all aspects of event management, including venue sourcing, budget management, supplier negotiation, volunteer coordination, marketing and promotion of events, and ensuring seamless execution on the day. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in event planning, preferably within the charity sector. You should possess excellent organisational and project management skills, a creative approach to event design, and strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Experience in budget management and fundraising is essential. A proactive attitude, a commitment to the charity's mission, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are key. - Develop marketing and promotional materials to drive event attendance and engagement.
- Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers.
- Provide excellent support to event attendees and participants.
- Liaise with stakeholders, sponsors, and donors to ensure event success.
- Evaluate event success and prepare post-event reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event planning and management.
- Experience in fundraising or the charity sector is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and project management skills.
- Strong budget management and financial acumen.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
