This newly created role will put you at the heart of their international growth strategy, driving global reseller partnerships with a strong emphasis on technical engagement and engineering-led solutions.
The Role
As Channel Manager, you will be responsible for expanding and optimising the company's global reseller network (excluding defence). Success will depend on your ability to combine commercial drive with technical understanding, ensuring resellers are fully equipped to sell complex engineering products, spares, and services.
This is not a purely sales role you will need to hold technical conversations with engineers, operators, and partners, translating customer needs into practical solutions.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will influence strategy and execution across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow and manage the global reseller network, driving sustainable profitable sales of engineering products and services.
- Lead reseller performance management, including target-setting, compliance, and regular technical/commercial reviews.
- Provide technical and commercial enablement support, ensuring partners have the knowledge, training, and tools to succeed.
- Work closely with engineering teams to develop a deep understanding of the product portfolio and communicate its value.
- Develop frameworks for selecting, onboarding, and incentivising new partners.
- Drive harmonisation of commercial policies (discounts, commissions, payments) across regions.
- Support market expansion through reseller networks and the company's e-commerce platform.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, BD, and regional sales teams to align technical and commercial strategies.
About You
Essential experience & skills:
- Strong engineering background (mechanical, electrical, offshore, subsea, or related technical field).
- Proven track record of managing an international reseller or channel network.
- Ability to hold technical sales conversations with engineers, operators, and technical decision-makers.
- Minimum 3 years' experience delivering growth through complex channel partnerships.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with technical credibility.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels.
- Resilient, proactive, and capable of managing multiple global opportunities simultaneously.
Desirable:
- Prior experience with subsea or Subsea equipment equipment.

+ Working with the sales, marketing, and product management teams, you will ensure Eaton's visibility, engagement, and market share. You will implement penetration plans to increase our bid rates and market share with distributors.
+ Developing, adapting, and executing a tailored strategic growth plan for each account, and communicating to internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment.
+ Developing and standardizing incentive plans/partnership programs with all main accounts, aligned with the European development strategy.Developing opportunities on existing products to gain measurable market share, as well as assessing and bringing new Eaton products into the business offering.
+ Chairing and coordinating monthly and quarterly business review calls to ensure relationships are on track and key trends and potential growth targets are identified.
+ Managing and attending exhibitor events to promote Eaton solutions.
+ Converting analysis, promotion, and securing stock sales orders. Coordinating stock recommendations and requirements.
+ Supervising and negotiating contracts with Electrical wholesalers (EWS), key customers, Certified assembly partners (CAPs), OEMs and distributors.
+ Identifying new business opportunities and potential new routes to market via an established customer base.
**Qualifications:**
+ Previous channel management experience, with a proven track record in driving B2B sales where diagnosing complex customer needs is critical.
+ Experience within harsh & hazardous are, instrumentation or similar industry
+ Proven commercial, sales, and customer relationship experience.
+ Familiarity with modern sales techniques: value sales, challenger sales, gap selling.
+ Experience within our customer base of electrical wholesalers, distributors, OEMs, Instrumentation or telecoms installers
+ Willing to travel and to be present in front of customers at all levels.
+ Performance driven, highly energetic and determined.
