Our client is a leading provider of solutions in the Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) and Communications Provider as a Service (CaaS) markets. As a UK business with their own platform / IP they are beginning to change the market as the business enters a high growth phase. They have a growing partner and direct customer base for their innovative product range.
Because of this growth, they are looking to hire an experienced Channel Business Development Manager to target SME & Mid-Market Telco and Unified Comms reseller partners. Remote based, however travel to their Guildford office, with occasional travel to Soho, London.

We are looking for an experienced salesperson who can help build out an already strong partner base. These partners can come from traditional marketplaces or from developing new revenue streams as they look to build upon the ever-widening capabilities of our solutions.
- Pro-Actively take our core solutions into the market. Approach, build relationships with, and sign-up appropriate new partners
- Ensure that those partners actively promote and sell our client’s solutions into their customer base by working closely with them on a daily basis
- Using a combination of CRM platforms and ad hoc reporting, complete all required activity and pipeline reporting
- Play an active role in the sales team, both in terms of learning from as well as helping to support other team members
- Input market and product insights to the business to enable the further development of our market offerings
- Attend events and shows as required
REQUIREMENTS: Channel Business Development Manager
We are looking for an experienced, driven, and highly motivated Business Development Manager, who has a proven background in UC and or Hosted Voice Solutions/ UCaaS.
In addition, you will need the following skills and experience: -
- A recent history of sales success, with a demonstrable track record in the Channel
- Must be able to evidence the ability to build and sustain long term relationships, taking them from nascent beginnings to substantial revenue contributions
- Ideally will have some connections within our current markets
- An ability to simplify complex topics to potential customers in addition to being able to distil messaging in a way that allows for timely decision making
- Have the gravitas to be able to help guide the internal organisation to the needs of the partner base
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills

Key job responsibilities
- Develop transformative commercial strategies that drive significant business impact.
- Lead in identifying, evaluating, negotiating and managing strategic partnerships that enable valuable customer experiences and support the strategic objectives of Amazon.
- Build strong internal relationships with leaders and counterparts across Amazonu2019s diverse set of businesses.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Tax, Accounting, and senior management to execute on the relationships.
- Build internal support for new initiatives with keen focus on market opportunity, business potential, and overall strategic fit.
- Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships and work with appropriate leaders and across all functional areas of Amazon to execute on the relationships.
Basic Qualifications
- Extensive business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience at a Senior level
- Proven track record developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Consumer industry expertise
- Demonstrated success in working within a distributed, cross-functional organization
- Demonstrated track record of identifying and executing successful partnerships and deals, particularly in Internet, ecommerce, digital media or high tech industries
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and work at strategic and tactical levels simultaneously
- Strong business written and spoken communication abilities

- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, creatively and innovate using sound business judgment and quantitative skills
- Proven ability to influence others internally and externally
- Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced, environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
