Business Development Manager Position
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to work as a senior leader within our Public Sector Team
Two-time winners of the Queen’s Awards for Innovation in 2018 and 2022, Informed Solutions products and services help clients accelerate and de-risk digital business change, improving customer satisfaction by creating better online experiences and transforming operational effectiveness through AI-enabled and data science-powered decision support.
As Business Development Manager, you will work with the Public Sector Directorate, having a key role in building trusted relationships and selling our platforms and solutions in our strategic sectors, both in the UK and internationally (predominantly Malaysia and Australia). You will:
- Play a lead role in securing enterprise-level sales within public and private sectors at national, regional, and local levels.
- Be an ambassador for the company as well as securing profitable, sustainable business that supports our growth and enhances our reputation.
- Build strong, lasting client relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
- Work closely with our solutions and platform teams to continually evolve value propositions, the solutions they support, and the services that accompany them.
- Work with our commercial team to design deals that ensure that contracts are both sustainable and profitable.
- Work with our Engagement Directors to build strategic partnerships and alliances across our marketplace to ensure we offer the most attractive mix of capability and capacity to our prospective clients.
- Contribute to business development efforts of the wider team, including on bid and proposition development.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of the digital market and the ability to position our products to a range of national, regional, and local buyers.
- A structured, hands-on approach that draws on proven experience in applying best practice sales techniques in a similar environment.
- A passion for developing business through building lasting relationships and representing a strong, trusted corporate brand.
- A leadership style that is engaging, trustworthy, and confident, with the ability to liaise with a wide variety of decision makers at Director level.
- A communications style that is compelling and engaging, combined with a relationship management approach that is friendly and approachable.
- An understanding of the products and services that encompass enterprise and national-scale digital transformation solutions in the public sector.
- Outstanding presentation, proposition development, and time management skills, and a willingness and ability to develop these skills in others.
- Comfortable with contracts with deal sizes in excess of £500k
- Able to work constructively and collaboratively with colleagues under pressure.
