Key Responsibilities
Syndicate Application Process
- Lead all aspects of the risk and governance workstreams as part of our Lloyd’s syndicate application.
- Develop and articulate our Risk Management Framework (RMF) in line with Lloyd’s Minimum Standards and regulatory expectations.
- Own and deliver the risk components of the application, including risk appetite statements, qualitative and quantitative submissions, and governance documentation.
- Act as the primary risk representative during engagements with Lloyd’s (e.g. Business Opportunities Committee) and UK regulators (PRA/FCA).
Enterprise Risk Management
- Design and embed a proportionate, effective ERM framework across the business.

Experience:

OVERALL PURPOSE

The position reports to the Group Chief Compliance Officer based in Hangzhou. The role will collaborate closely with our Compliance & Risk team in Hang Zhou as well as regional teams across UK, EU and the US.
PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant UK financial regulations, including Money Laundering Regulations, Proceeds of Crime Act, and FCA Guidelines, as well as our reporting obligations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with UK, EU, and global regulatory requirements.
- Continuously assess compliance risks and implement effective risk management strategies that align with our growth objectives.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to policies and operational processes.
- Lead regulatory engagement, maintain open and constructive relationships with the FCA and other regulatory bodies, as well as engagement with auditors and banking partners from a compliance perspective.
