**POSITION SUMMARY**
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards. Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms. Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities. Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk. Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments. Communicate issues to next shift. Complete required paperwork.
Use checklists to ensure that cleanliness and condition of each assigned area meets the designated standards
Document and report any outstanding issues to manager on duty
Identify and report maintenance issues in public areas and guest rooms
Respond promotly to guest requests
Ensure all quality standards are met
Communicate with various departments to verify the status of guest rooms
Serve as a departmental role model by working alongside employees to perform all duties
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATION**
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None

Initiating and maintaining an effective inspection program including rooms; public areas; associatesu2019 work and locker areas; storage areas; recreation areas; laundry areas; garage and grounds.
Developing hotel general cleaning schedule and managing execution of work.
Understanding and communicating to staff the operating and maintenance procedures of all departmental equipment.
Supervising and approving the budgeting and ordering of guestroom and cleaning supplies.
Being aware of hotelu2019s layout and facilities.
Ensuring all rooms correspond with lists given, reporting any discrepancies immediately to Office Coordinator/ Front Desk/ Rooms Controller.
Reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
