Your Role

As a Cloud Strategy Consultant or Senior Consultant at Capgemini Invent you will be part of our Cloud Advisory capability within the wider Business Technology capability unit. Our cloud advisory capability aims to inspire, lead and support organisations on their journey of adopting cloud for creating business and revenue models, generating growth, ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing their carbon footprint.

Cloud is a key enabler for every business strategy from new business models to strategic risk management. A cloud strategy is no longer just an infrastructure strategy, but also includes business, application, data, security, integration and platform strategy. As a cloud strategy consultant, you will combine your understanding of our client’s businesses and our thought leadership in the industry to create cloud strategies that will enable future ready enterprises. You will deliver business focussed cloud strategies that will enable the adoption, acceleration, and innovation on the cloud for our clients.

You will be required to work and communicate with all levels of an organisation to collaboratively innovate, design and implement new business and operating models. You’ll bring an acute sense of market trends and the challenges facing our clients, to deliver lasting and sustainable organisation transformations.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your Profile

You will bring experience in transforming business through technology and transforming the way clients operate. Comfortable at working in a technology-driven environment, you will bring proven skills and experience in the following:

  • Experience in cloud strategy and implementation for large or mid size organisations on public clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Experience in developing cloud adoption strategy and roadmaps for clients
  • Implementation of cloud strategies & transformation plans for clients to migrate to cloud.
  • Experience in translation of client business challenges into cloud-based solutions and strategy within specific technology and business domains
  • Understanding of cloud transformation challenges and pitfalls
  • Understanding of industry clouds provided by AWS, Azure, GCP in one or more industry domains
  • Understanding of the role of cloud for transformation of data & analytics, customer experiences and enterprise transformation
  • Understanding of cloud operating models for public/private, hybrid and multi-cloud
  • Understanding of cloud security models, DevSecOps and cloud operations
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.

Key expectations from this role include:

  • As a Consultant: lead a stream of work and produce high quality deliverables, providing key input to shape the strategic direction and support the design of propositions.
  • As a Senior Consultant: design and lead projects / multiple streams taking ownership for elements of the proposition.
