Our client is looking for an exceptional Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to join their pioneering technology team. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying robust and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions for a wide range of clients. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and high availability of our cloud-based services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying at the forefront of cloud technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Design and manage container orchestration platforms using Kubernetes.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance on best practices for cloud adoption.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues in cloud infrastructure and applications.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) as a Solutions Architect, with a significant focus on cloud platforms.
  • Expertise in at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and database concepts in a cloud context.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
