CNC Machinist Programmer required for an industry leading supplier of manufacturing machinery with a reputation of global excellence. Candidates will have previous experience working as a CNC machinist and will have worked with XYZ protrax, Mazatrol, Heidenheim, Fanuc, Yasnac or similar software. You will need to be able to work from engineering drawings and be able to program machines.
Reporting into the Moulds and Tooling Production Manager, the successful candidate will work within a small team responsible for the machining of moulds and tooling used in automated machinery. You will also produce programs using online conversational control / offline CAD/CAM.

We require experience previously with CNC machinery as an operator or machinist in Turning, Milling or Grinding. Those successful will have to complete a training period which could be up to 12 weeks working Monday to Thursday 6.30am - 3.15pm and Friday 6am to 1pm. Once training is completed you would then transfer to the permanent afternoon shift Monday to Thursday - 2:45pm – midnight
Some general responsibilities will include;
- Operate a range of machines li>Work via instructions and drawings
- Working to tight tolerances
- Meeting deadlines for batches produced
- Communicate with other team members and work together as a team
Requirements
- Experience in a similar industry/role, ideally in a machining environment
- Any one of the following experience is required; milling, turning, deburring, grinding, gear cutting.
- Willing and happy to work a permanent shift Monday to Thursday starting at 2.45pm till midnight
- Can work the day shift for the training
- Be proactive and a great team player.
- Be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines
