- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and revision of higher education curricula, from conceptualization to implementation.
- Collaborate closely with faculty, department heads, and external stakeholders to identify learning outcomes, course objectives, and assessment strategies.
- Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create engaging and effective learning materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and multimedia content.
- Ensure curriculum content is current, relevant, and meets all accreditation and quality assurance standards.
- Develop strategies for incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, educational technologies, and active learning techniques.
- Conduct needs analyses to identify gaps in existing curricula and propose relevant enhancements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior curriculum developers and instructional designers.
- Facilitate faculty development workshops on curriculum design and effective pedagogy.
- Manage curriculum review cycles and stakeholder feedback processes.
- Stay abreast of advancements in educational theory, pedagogical research, and trends in higher education.
- Contribute to institutional initiatives related to program development and academic quality.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all curriculum development projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or program development within higher education.
- In-depth knowledge of adult learning theories and pedagogical best practices.
- Proven experience in designing and developing online, hybrid, and face-to-face learning experiences.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Experience in faculty development and training is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively in a remote team setting.
