Job Description
- Designing and developing comprehensive curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, aligning with institutional goals and accreditation standards.
- Collaborating closely with faculty, subject matter experts (SMEs), and academic leaders to define learning outcomes, course content, and assessment strategies.
- Applying principles of adult learning theory and instructional design to create effective and engaging learning experiences, both online and blended formats.
- Developing course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, reading lists, assignments, and multimedia resources.
- Creating assessment tools and rubrics to measure student learning and program effectiveness.
- Ensuring curriculum compliance with national and international accreditation requirements.
- Managing curriculum review and revision processes, incorporating feedback from faculty, students, and industry stakeholders.
- Conducting research on emerging trends and best practices in higher education pedagogy and curriculum development.
- Providing training and support to faculty on curriculum design principles and the use of educational technologies.
- Working with instructional designers and multimedia specialists to enhance course materials.
- Documenting curriculum development processes and maintaining program records.
- Contributing to the strategic planning and development of new academic programs.
A Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Higher Education Administration, or a related field is required; a Ph.D. is highly desirable. A minimum of 7 years of experience in curriculum development within a higher education setting is essential. Proven experience in designing and implementing successful academic programs is a must. Strong knowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., QAA, TEF) and higher education policies is crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse academic stakeholders, are necessary. Proficiency in instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas is expected. Familiarity with educational technologies and online learning platforms is a significant advantage. A strong understanding of research methodologies in education is beneficial. This is a 100% remote position.
