About the Role

As a Commercial Analyst, you will work closely with the Commercial Lead and other key stakeholders across the business. About the role
:

Market Analysis & Development

  • Support our growth strategy for the Nuclear business by identifying new opportunities/ partnerships across the nuclear spectrum, providing commercial due diligence and instigating / validating future investments.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to capitalize on opportunities in Nuclear sector.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, understand the competitive landscape and potential growth areas.
  • Negotiate and secure commercial agreements, contracts, and partnerships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and technology providers.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track the success of commercial strategies and projects.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on market developments, project status, and commercial performance.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead the commercial aspects of Nuclear project development, ensuring projects are financially viable and aligned with strategic goals.

Regulatory and Policy Compliance

What you'll be doing:
You will be working with the highly creative, data driven and talented individuals across the Jagex Analytics, Marketing, & Games teams to drive forward reporting.

  • Lead a small team of analysts who deliver insights that guide decisions on subscriptions, sales and pricing.
  • Drive deep, impactful learnings by working across data, proposition design and research to deliver a story driven direction based in data.
  • Develop best practice and transparent ways of working that support player value programs.
  • Manage stakeholders across the business, developing analysis and delivering insights to support their commercial decisions.

What we're looking for:
Essential Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in commercial analytics in a B2C company
  • Previous experience leading analysts while also delivering high quality insights
  • Strong communicator and excellent data storyteller
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Successful at driving and delivering change in a meaningful way
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced skill in SQL
  • Familiarity with modern data architectures (AWS, Snowflake, OLAP)
  • Experience using modern data visualization tools e.g Tableau, PowerBI etc.

The Role


Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Senior Commercial Analyst will play a key role in coordinating commercial and financial information across global markets for high-profile clients. Acting as the main point of contact for commercial finance queries, you will also support business development initiatives.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong teamwork, proactivity, and attention to detail, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across international teams.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain a commercial reporting timeline across the fiscal year.
  • Manage FTE preparation and reconciliation, reviewing costings, hours reports, and calculations.
  • Collate and review annual bonus calculations and address related queries.
  • Prepare reports for ad hoc, monthly, bi-annual, and annual client meetings.
  • Partner with Finance to review overdue debt reports and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Coordinate with Legal on commercial contracts and client procurement discussions.
  • Oversee scopes of work with Client Directors, ensuring out-of-scope work is captured, costed, and flagged.
  • Respond to ad hoc commercial and finance queries across clients.
  • Support new business pitches by aggregating, analysing, and reporting on staffing and commercial data (e.g., commission rates, payment terms).


Qualifications


  • Functional expertise: Strong data management, finance systems knowledge, and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables). VBA is a plus.
  • Attention to detail: High accuracy with the ability to spot and correct errors before sharing.
  • Diligence: Strong time management, able to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Proactivity: Takes initiative while keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Client focus: Builds strong relationships and acts with clients in mind.
  • Results orientation: Action-oriented, energetic, and driven to achieve outcomes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; VBA knowledge desirable.
  • Background in commercial, financial, or quantitative roles preferred.
