Due to growth, a new vacancy has arisen for a Banking Litigation Associate (2-5 PQE) to join at the West End office of this highly respected Legal 500 firm.
The Firm

They are a multi-service practice and punch well above their weight in terms of quality of work and output. They are ranked highly in the Legal 500, and in the last five years they have nearly doubled in size due to a dynamic team, strategic key hires, and an influx of work.

You will also find there is much more in the way of staff flexibility and work-life balance than at larger city firms. The Role
This Legal 500 firm is looking for a Banking & Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their highly rated Dispute Resolution team at their office in the West End.
You'll be working with two leading partners who are expert in dispute resolution and the work will surround:
Banking, Insolvency & Corporate Recovery matters:
- Drafting and managing correspondence, pleadings, witness statements, and applications in contentious insolvency and banking litigation matters.
- Supporting secured lenders with enforcement actions, including possession proceedings, debt recovery, and guarantor claims.
- Assisting insolvency practitioners with contentious matters such as misfeasance, breach of fiduciary duty, and antecedent transaction claims (transactions at undervalue, preferences, and wrongful/fraudulent trading).
- Conducting legal research and preparing advice on insolvency processes (administration, liquidation, receivership, CVAs, pre-packs, restructuring options).
- Liaising with clients, insolvency practitioners, and other stakeholders to progress recovery strategies and manage contentious negotiations.
Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Managing elements of high-value and complex commercial disputes from instruction through to resolution (court proceedings, mediation, settlement).
- Drafting statements of case, disclosure documents, and evidence bundles; preparing for hearings and trials.
- Assisting with injunction applications (e.g. freezing orders), enforcement, and contempt proceedings.
- Supporting on shareholder and contractual disputes, including drafting and reviewing agreements, correspondence, and settlement terms.
- Handling procedural aspects of litigation including case management, timetabling, and liaising with counsel.
The team is professional, friendly, supportive, and led by strong business generators.
This role is due to the influx of work and therefore growth within the department, and you will have excellent progression prospects; you will work side by side with industry leaders, giving you a platform to rise to the top of your game!
Requirements:
- You will be a Banking / Commercial Litigation Solicitor 2-5 PQE
