Our customer, a multinational technology company is looking for an Israel qualified Commercial lawyer for a 6 months contract role.
Role Description
- Provide legal support to Israel product development teams on software licensing topics.
- Provide legal support to sales team on commercial agreements including sales agreements, pricing agreements and distribution agreements in Israel and potentially other European territories.
- Provide first line legal support and counseling to Israel HR teams on employment law issues (terminations, employee escalations, employee communications) with support from in-house employment law experts and outside counsel.
- Provide first line legal support on Israel litigation matters (both general commercial and HR-specific) with support from in-house litigation experts and outside counsel.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of effective policies, processes, and internal training programs.
- Work with the broader EMEA legal team to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develop/implement corrective action plans for the resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer in Israel or England & Wales
- 7+ years of post-qualification relevant legal experience
- Law firm training with some time spent in-house
- Ability to work in Hebrew and English
- Excellent communication skills: understanding complex matters with an ability to provide practical advice and communicate effectively
- Ability to focus on pragmatic and risk-optimized solutions to problems
- High energy, a positive attitude, and self-motivated. A team player
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, networking and influencing skills

A number of opportunities have arisen for Commercial Lawyers to join a devolved government on a fixed term contract. As a Commercial Lawyer, you will play a central role in advising on complex and high-profile matters of commercial law and projects of national significance.
To be considered, you must be qualified to practise as a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive in England and Wales and must have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. Preferably you will have some of the following experience:
- negotiating and drafting commercial agreements and grants;
- debt and/or equity financing and investment;
- negotiating, drafting, interpretation and enforcement of security documents associated with grant, debt and equity financing;
- and/or public/private partnerships and joint ventures.
These roles can be full time or on a job share basis. These roles are fixed term contracts of up to 2 years. The role offers predominantly remote working, with ad-hoc attendance in the West Midlands, and a rate in the region of £50 - £55 p/hour UMB , subject to experience.
