Job Description
Have you considered becoming a Quant Strategist, a trader or a business analyst, but you're not sure which path to take?
This position may be a great fit for you. Sit at the heart of the organisation to gain hands-on experience on all things trading, tech and operations from back office all the way to front office.
You will be joining as a Derivatives Analyst - sitting within their Quant Engineering team and focusing on their trading systems. It’s a mix of technical configuration, pricing expertise, and hands-on work with traders and analysts. In short, you’ll be involved in the full deal life cycle, from setup, valuation, to risk and settlement.
It’s not your typical back office or middle office position, as you’ll be working closely with trading desks, originators, quants, IT, and risk teams, helping to configure structured deals, understand complex commodities, and improve how they manage trading processes.
You’ll need to be comfortable with data and systems, where SQL and Excel will come in handy, and ideally, you’ll already have experience in trade support and commodities.
However, what matters most is that you’re proactive, analytical, mathematical and not afraid to dig into the details. You’ll be working with people who enjoy sharing knowledge, challenging ideas, and constantly improving how things are done.
If this sounds like the kind of challenge you’d enjoy, even if you’re not sure you tick every single box, I would love to chat.
No up-to-date CV required.
Even if this isn't the right fit for you, feel free to apply, and we will be happy to stay connected for any further opportunities.

Job Description
We're working with a high growth commodities trading firm building systematic and algorithmic trading capabilities across global commodities and derivatives markets from scratch.
This is an early stage, high impact role where you'll get to design the architecture, not inherit it.
What You'll Build
- Real time trading systems and model infrastructure in C++
- Quantitative models that extract signal from complex commodities and derivatives data
- End-to-end ownership: data pipelines, modeling, execution, optimization
- The foundations of a next generation systematic trading platform
You'll work directly with traders and leadership to move from prototype to production quickly.
What You Bring
- Systematic/electronic trading experience in commodities/energy markets at a top-tier fund
- Proven experience in systems architecture and design, you'd have built trading infrastructure, not just used it
- Deep C++ expertise including modern C++ 20/C++23; experience with real-time or low-latency systems
- Strong mathematical foundation applied to trading or signal generation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with solid grounding in CS fundamentals
- Ability to translate trading intuition into executable code
Why This Over Your Current Role
- Ownership : Build the system, don't maintain someone else's
- Speed : Deploy ideas in days, not quarters
- Access : Direct collaboration with decision-makers, zero bureaucracy
- Scope : Operate across quant research, ML, and market microstructure
- Compensation : Competitive base + discretionary bonus
If you've built complex systems at a top tier fund and want full ownership of the next one, with the speed and clarity that comes from a focused, engineering led team, let's have a confidential conversation.
