The Role
The Operations team at Javelin manages the reconciliation, confirmation and settlement of commodity products within Javelin. Working with the Logistics team and traders, Operations ensure that risk is captured accurately, and the full lifecycle of the trade is supported effectively.
As the business continues to expand and grow, we are looking for an additional Operations Analyst to join the Operations team. Ideally this hire will have at least one or two years' operations experience within physical commodities. Dynamic and always challenging, this role will complement the responsibilities of the other team members and work as part of the team to achieve the Operation Group’s objectives, and provide a broad range of career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Trade Settlement and Invoicing process for physical and financial commodities
- Liaising with Trading/Logistics team to resolve queries and discrepancies
- Monitoring and updating settlements systems and daily reporting
- Reconciling cash balances
- Ongoing management of Financing transactions
- Documenting processes and procedures
Requirements
- We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive candidate with 3+ years’ experience in Commodities Operations.

The Role
The Operations team at Javelin manages the logistics of commodity products within Javelin. Working with the traders, finance, technology & legal, documents and settlements, operations ensure that risk is captured accurately and deliveries are made to customers as per the terms of our trades
As the business continues to expand and grow, we are looking for a Commodity Logistics Associate to join the team in London. Dynamic and always challenging, this role will complement the responsibilities of the other team members and work as part of the global team to achieve the Operation Group’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for physical operations in relation to Javelins domestic and international commodities businesses
- Make sure scheduling system are up to date and accurately reflect positions/inventory
- Liaise with documents team/legal team to make sure contracts are accurate from a logistics perspective
- Be responsible for documentation of cargos and prepare invoices on a timely basis
- Take responsibility for reporting of programme and respond to ad-hoc queries from trading desk
- End of month reporting – including stockpile reconciliation/management
- Building relationships with clients/ports/transport providers.
Requirements
- Self-motivated, proactive candidate with a bachelors’ degree in a relevant subject.
- It is not essential, but it would be beneficial if you have had some prior internship experience preferably in the logistics or physical commodities space.
