Marketing Communications Assistant

We are seeking a creative and organised Marketing Communications Assistant to help deliver impactful campaigns across digital and offline channels.

Position: Marketing Communications Assistant

Salary: £25000- £30,000 per annum (pro rata)

Contract: 6-month fixed term, with potential to become permanent

Location: Wallington Central Office (hybrid working – 3 days in office: Monday, Wednesday + one other)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a national charity’s Marketing Communications team and play a key role in delivering internal, regional, and fundraising campaigns. You’ll support multi-channel activity across email, social media, website, and print, helping to raise awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns with internal teams and external agencies
  • Managing digital communications including e-shots, email marketing, and website updates
  • Acting as a brand guardian across all communications and assets
  • Providing campaign metrics and analytics to inform future activity
  • Supporting internal communications and intranet updates
  • Assisting with brand asset management and training new staff
  • Coordinating e-updates for volunteering and events teams
  • Monitoring social media platforms out of hours on a rota basis

About You:

You’ll be a confident communicator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for digital media. You’ll bring experience from a similar marketing role and be comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll need to demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience using Mailchimp, Canva, InDesign, and CMS platforms
  • Understanding of PPC, SEO, and social media best practice
  • Ability to adapt tone of voice for different audiences
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with good analytical skills
  • Graduate-level education or equivalent experience in marketing, journalism, or communications (a postgraduate qualification is desirable)

To succeed in this role, you will have experience of working as part of a small team, providing administrative and programme support to senior managers and busy colleagues, preferably in a similar role.

You will be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple priorities and exercise effective judgement when managing complex tasks.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both spoken and written – and the ability to communicate in a confident and engaging manner, influencing individuals with whom there is no formal management relationship. An interest in working in communications (including media and stakeholder relations), particularly in the arts, is essential.

You must have good financial management skills and the ability to interpret complex information.

Finally, you will also have a good understanding of the Arts Council’s duty as a public body under current diversity legislation, the current diversity agenda and its relationship to the arts

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Admin and communications support in preparing Coty's annual sustainability report and supporting materials.

+ Brief and project manage external partners in delivering communications materials.

**EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE**

+ Sustainability experience gained either through degree, work experience or extra-curricular.
+ Previous work experience within a business - multi-national preferred but not essential.
+ Experience in design and Canva tool a bonus.
+ Interest in and awareness of external trends / policy environment, and able to identify the business impact

About the Role:
The Global Communications PA plays a critical role in ensuring the team are organised and prepared for the work ahead. You will need to be a proactive team player who is always one step ahead of the leaders you are supporting. You will have excellent attention to detail and be prepared to step in and be flexible to do what is needed to ensure the work is delivered on time and to an exceptional standard. You will be an ambassador for global communications with external stakeholders as you support external events and setting up meetings. In addition, you will support the team to manage and report on the department budget working with finance.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide extensive administrative support for leaders, including managing calendars, emails, expenses, and phone communications.
+ Respond to inquiries with resourcefulness and independence, escalating when appropriate.
+ Actively participate in internal communications and business partnering teams.
+ Lead logistics for internal and external events, including science festivals, roundtables, launch events, and global campaigns.
+ Support internal initiatives such as Learning Labs, Town Halls, and network meetings.
+ Manage Purchase Orders and liaise with Finance on budget matters.
