Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of design engineers in the concept, design, testing, and development of composite components and assemblies.
  • Oversee design schemes from initial concept through to detailed drawings, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing.
  • Manage surface components and laminate specification booklets to the highest standards of accuracy and performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support throughout assembly, testing, and development phases.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification in a Composite Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Composite Design Engineer within a Formula 1 environment.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex composite assemblies under demanding timescales.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD systems - ideally CATIA, with expertise in solid modelling and composite manufacturing techniques.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity within motorsport.

+ Experience of configuration control in a highly regulated industry.
