Key Responsibilities
- Assisting solicitors and fee earners in a wide range of dispute resolution matters, including property, commercial, contractual, and Private Client disputes.
- Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries, court bundles, witness statements, and correspondence.
- Managing a varied caseload of pre-litigation and litigated files under supervision.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, and third parties in a professional and timely manner.
- Drafting legal documents such as letters before action, pleadings, and instructions to counsel.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records.
- Supporting the wider team with administrative and procedural tasks as required.
About You
- You will ideally have at least 12 months' experience in dispute resolution or litigation work, either in a private practice or in-house setting.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident in dealing with clients and third parties.
- A good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and court processes.
- A law degree and/or completion of the LPC/SQE (or equivalent) is desirable.

OA are recruiting for a Dispute Resolution Coordinator to join our client’s highly successful and growing team.
You will be responsible for successfully resolving deposit disputes between landlords, tenants, and agencies - from initial inquiries and dispute handling to early resolution or formal resolution through a written proposal or decision. You will also effectively manage a caseload of dispute cases.
Location: Borehamwood
Hours: Full-time, 9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working: 2 days in the office and 3 days from home following successful training. Remote working also considered.
Salary: Up to £30,000 – depending on experience

The firm are ideally looking for someone with previous paralegal experience ideally with a background working within Litigation who is looking to progress their career.
Typical duties would include
- You'll be the first point of contact for new inquiries and will handle all aspects of file opening, including conflict checks and spreadsheet updates.
- Your role includes managing fee earner diaries, arranging appointments, and assisting with creating bundles and collating documents for legal cases.
- You will handle billing, manage the receipt of funds, chase clients for payments, and liaise directly with the Accounts department.
- You'll be responsible for chasing responses from external parties, including the court, barristers, and opposing solicitors.
