Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join a construction project in Wisbech starting on 7th July . This role will involve general labouring duties including site clean-up, assisting tradespeople, moving materials, and ensuring health and safety is maintained at all times.
Requirements:
Valid CSCS card
Previous experience in a labouring role
Own PPE (boots, hard hat, hi-vis)
Right to work in the UK
Reliability and punctuality

About the role
As an experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role in our Operational Team, working hand in hand with our Pre-Construction, Commercial and Procurement Teams to ensure effective delivery of a new build social housing project in Selkirk, Scottish Borders.
Key roles and responsibilities include;
- Liaise with our Pre-Con team to ensure projects are ready to hit the ground running.
- Oversee subcontractors to ensure effective management and quality control.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including the client, architects and engineers, as needed.
- Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure effective cost management.
- Produce regular internal and external reports on project progress against the programme.

- Ensure clear and effective communication with NHBC, Building Control, etc.
- Work in partnership with our SHEQ team to promote and ensure a strong safety culture on site at all times.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced Site Manager with a background in delivering social & affordable housing projects, including flatted developments.
The ideal candidate will be/have;
- Trade background and/or suitable academic qualification within the construction industry, such as HNC, HND, Degree or relevant level of SVQ, equivalent to SCQF level 6-7, combined with several years of relevant industry-related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and Health and Safety standards and requirements.
- Proficient in the use of construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and time management skills.
- Clear and effective communicator, in-person, via email and in meetings.
- Able to set clear objectives for themselves and others (in line with the needs of the role).
- Hold a current and valid UK Driving licence (essential).
- Valid SMSTS and First Aid tickets (essential).
