This role is working for our in-house mechanical and electrical subcontractor on a multi-million pound project in Oxford.

Responsible for the MEP services delivery, health and safety and subcontractor performance and wellbeing, whilst liaising with the client, main contractor and consultants. Manages multiple sub-contractors, sub-sub-contractors and suppliers on medium/large size projects whilst mentoring and guiding others.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Working within the project team, under direction, communicating and coordinating with colleagues, with ability to offer guidance and mentoring to others.
- Planning, monitoring and managing the completion of the MEP installation and testing, using installation expertise and business's management processes.
- Managing onsite and liaise with project sub-contractors, sub-subcontractors and suppliers. Accountable for programme, HSW, and quality deliverables of their package or system.
- Coordinating and managing onsite of the interfaces between packages.
- Liaising and coordinating with key project stake holders design CMT and construction teams.
- Identification of risk and the production and implementation of mitigation plans.
- Supervising and the use of modern method of construction, learning about digital technologies and prefabrication.
- Implementing onsite of Mace's standards and project strategies.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You'll Need To Have
- Completed technical/engineering apprenticeship (trade/technical) (or equivalent).
- Relevant city and guilds/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
- Relevant BTECH/HNC (or equivalent).
- Relevant CSCS Card.
- SMSTS health & safety training.
You'll Also Have
- A proficient knowledge of a technical trade (Building Services Engineering) including installation and testing methods, best practice and prefabrication to allow supervision, planning, and quality control of packages or systems.
- A basic knowledge of other technical trades, including basic installation techniques, prefabrication and best practice to ensure consideration, collaboration and co-ordination with other systems and packages.
- A basic knowledge of construction builds elements, including sequencing and dependencies to ensure consideration, collaboration and co-ordination with build elements.
- A basic knowledge of commercial management to assist the commercial teams with commercial control of a packages, including clean up notices, good received and contract charges between packages.
- A proficient knowledge of planning processes and management, with sufficient understanding of key construction release requirements, systems critical path, tasks/works scheduling and commissioning activities to allow for planning and control of the of a packages or systems during construction.
- A proficient knowledge of health, safety and welfare core elements such as working from height, electrical safety, fire safety, logistics and lifting, to provide awareness and ensure application in the safe management of supply chain packages.
- A proficient knowledge of quality assurance process' and commissioning of single systems to allow full completion of their package or system of responsibility whilst assisting in the integration of systems.

- Experience with QA/QC systems, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and Mechanical Completion/Commissioning readiness requirements.

You will play a key role in audits. management of contractors on site, method statements, risk assessments, hazop meetings.
Key aspects to the role
- Ensure that contractors comply with all aspects of site safety rules, permit to work conditions and project scope of works.
- Ensure that construction works are designed and built as described in the Scope of Work, Project Execution Plan and Contract.
- Ensure that contractors adhere to the latest Approved For Construction (AFC) project drawings, specifications, procedures and site instructions.
- Ensure all potential variations are flagged to the Navigator project manager and Contract variation procedure followed.
- Participate in all relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures.
- Promote and maintain Navigator and contractor best practice working relationships
- Ensure that suitable pre-commissioning and commissioning plans are in place at the appropriate stages during the project.
- Ensure that pre/post commissioning “snagging” is carried out and that suitable procedures are in place to close out all “snagging items” prior to handover.
- Ensure that handover certification is in place, including as-built drawings and handover pack, prior to final sign off for the project by the Navigator Project Manager
- Ensure that the development of Method Statements and Risk Assessments with suppliers, contractors and Navigator staff is completed in accordance with the appropriate Safe System of Work (SSOW).
- Ensure that Safe Systems of Work permits issued are adhered to by suppliers and contractors in line with company procedures.
- Ensure that site operations are fully involved in all aspects of the construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Ensure, by leadership and guidance, that contracted works meets all practical, commercial, requirements of productivity, quality and contract target completions.
- Audit contractors’ progress to ensure work progress is to plan, budget and complies with the requirements of the RAMs.
- Ensure compliance with the Construction Phase Plan where required under Construction Design Management regulations.

We're currently working on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Staythorpe and are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate on-site delivery. The Role
As an Electrical Site Construction Supervisor , you'll be responsible for supervising electrical installation works (LV/HV) on-site, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure delivery is “right first time .”
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate LV/HV electrical installation works .
- Oversee installation of switchgear, transformers, earthing, ducting, protection systems, and wiring .
- Interpret and deliver works to electrical drawings and DNO specifications (e.g., G81) .
- Manage and inspect above and below-ground installations .
- Support electrical testing, commissioning, and quality checks .
- Review RAMS and subcontractor documentation , ensuring compliance with scope of works.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with NRSWA Section 50, NJUG guidelines, CDM regulations, HSG47, and health & safety standards .
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in LV/HV electrical installations (HV essential).
- Strong background with switchgear, transformers, substations, and generators .
- Knowledge of DNO standards, G81 specifications, and industry best practices .
- Experience supervising subcontractors on technical electrical site works .
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation (CDM, HSG47, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) .
- Experience with works up to 132kV (preferred).
