What you’ll be doing
You’ll define and lead the scope of work within your assigned contract or package, ensuring seamless integration with the wider programme. From securing skilled resources to maintaining safety and quality standards, you’ll be at the heart of project execution.
Your role will involve developing and implementing execution strategies aligned with the Programme Execution Plan, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and driving progress against key milestones and budgets.
You’ll ensure deliverables are met, contractual obligations fulfilled, and best practices adopted across the board. Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering a safe, timely, and cost-effective outcome.
Who you are
You’ll bring a proven track record of delivering complex projects in regulated environments, ideally within the nuclear or energy sector. You’ve successfully managed engineering design, procurement, and execution strategies, and are confident in handling costs, risks, and schedules using Earned Value tools.
Your leadership experience includes managing contractors and consultants, with a solid understanding of NEC and FIDIC contracts. You’re an excellent communicator, skilled at building relationships and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
A degree in engineering, construction, or a related field is desirable, along with a professional project management qualification such as APM PPQ. You’ll understand nuclear quality standards and have experience managing projects from concept to completion.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a new Maintenance Work Cycle Planner to join our highly experienced and multi-skilled team in the Work Management Department at Torness Power Station. The Work Management Group is responsible for planning all work on-site to maintain Compliance with the Site Licence, all Statutory Regulations as well as delivery of the Station’s Maintenance Policies and defect repairs.
In this role, you will be required to co-ordinate and schedule maintenance activities across departments that ensure safe & efficient delivery to support reliable operation of the plant.

Pay, Benefits and Culture
The salary range associated with this role is between £39,543 to £8,958 with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. However, the starting salary for this appointment will be within the range of 9,543 to 4,582 dependant on the successful candidate's competence and experience.

What You'll Be Doing
We're seeking a skilled planner to support efficient maintenance operations and enhance performance across work management processes.
Reporting to the Work Management Group Head, you will develop and manage effective schedules for plant maintenance and repairs, as well as create Work Week plans that meet Site Licence, regulatory, and compliance standards.
You will be the one who understands power station systems inside out—with a clear grasp of their safety roles and the essential tools for design and fault diagnosis.
Collaborating with stakeholders to champion EDF’s Work Management approach, you will plan activities aligned with priorities such as Equipment Reliability, Operational Focus, and Fire Safety.
As well as contributing to the achievement of departmental and station business goals, you will also lead post-execution reviews to capture insights and identify improvements.
Who You Are
As a planner, you will be self-motivated, resilient and have a positive attitude towards your work. The role requires you to be able to work well as part of a team and have the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate across many working groups.
We are looking for you to have had previous experience of Nuclear, or in an industrial maintenance environment, as well as experience in planning principles.
As a minimum, entrants will be educated to GCSE/National Qualification standards (or equivalent). Additional support is available to encourage further training and development.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be a nuclear professional with a strong focus on safety and quality. You’ll engineer work packages that align with station goals, using operational experience and systematic processes to ensure excellence in execution.
You’ll be responsible for writing and approving work order cards, specifying tasks, resources, and procedures to support defect correction and maintenance. Your work will directly contribute to the safe and reliable operation of the station.
You’ll also support improvements in maintenance documentation, identify necessary spares, and conduct risk assessments. As a Selected Person for Significant Risk Permits, you’ll ensure that all work packages meet the highest standards and support successful execution by the maintenance teams.
Who You Are
You’ll bring a relevant HNC (or equivalent) and a basic understanding of PWR operating principles. Your excellent interpersonal skills will help you thrive in a collaborative team environment.
A background in Electrical or Control & Instrumentation Engineering/Maintenance would be advantageous, though we also welcome candidates with Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance experience. We’re looking for individuals who are eager to grow, contribute, and make a meaningful impact in the nuclear industry.
