Alchemy is working with a leader in strategic intelligence and investigations, who advise and provide strategic information to top-tier commercial and financial advisory firms, including Fortune 50 and FTSE 100 companies. As part of their plans to further expand across Europe, they are looking for a vision-driven Manager or Associate Director to guide and manage their intelligence projects.


Role Overview:

This candidate will play a very pivotal role in undertaking comprehensive commercial due diligence and counterparty analysis across the various markets in Europe. This role requires a strategic thinker who is very commercial advice-oriented and understands cultural and commercial differences across different geographical areas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and direct lines of inquiry and focus areas based on potential operational and commercial risks in diverse sectors and geographies.
  • Devising interviews strategy, human source engagement and public record research. Triaging investigative materials and streams of research, while evaluating both the credibility and relevance of sources of intelligence.
  • Producing high quality reports.
  • To be able to develop and present clear, commercially-focused briefings and reports for all levels of stakeholders, including deal teams and the C-suite ensuring communication of key findings and insight.
  • Leadership, develop and grow your team-including identifying and hiring new talent to meet increasing demand.


Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years in commercial advisory positions; preference to experience with consultancy, legal, investment advisory, compliance or related profiles
  • Excellent skill in verbal/written English; proficiency in an additional European language will be an advantage
  • Strong track record of team along with large project management with a strategic orientation
  • Strong commercial/cultural acumen with sharp insights relating to the European business and regulatory landscapes.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, use own initiative, and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where no day is the same.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

A great opportunity for a highly skilled Business Change Consulting Manager with excellent experience in Change Transformation to help deliver country critical technology transformation to Defence and National Security clients.

As the Business Change Consultant, you’ll lead complex change initiatives that make a real difference to mission-critical programmes. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking, rapidly growing consultancy environment that values expertise, innovation, and doing the right thing for clients.


As the Business Change Consulting Manager, you will:

  • Leading the planning and delivery of change initiatives aligned with digital and IT transformation goals.
  • Designing safe, defensible operating models and processes using best-practice methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Driving Business Process Design, Re-engineering, and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Translating business and technical requirements into actionable solutions with robust governance.
  • Supporting bids and proposals for technology-led consulting assignments.


As the Change consultant, you will need experience of:

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale, technology-enabled transformation in Defence.
  • Engaging senior stakeholders and aligning complex change with organisational goals.
  • Defence Digital or Defence digital programmes (highly desirable).
  • Active DV clearance.


This Business Change Consulting Manager role will see you working on some of the UK’s most high-profile Defence programmes, shaping change in the defence arena. This role is hybrid with time on-site in Corsham (3 days per week) and occasional travel to client sites.
