Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 

  • Plan elements of problem solving for own workstream and making effective use of leadership time  
  • Contribute effectively to problem solving through independently structuring and conducting analysis and research within a workstream 
  • Develop high-quality, client ready end products with minimal correction required

Requirements

Mandatory

      • Minimum 2:1 graduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or prior experience as an analyst within strategy or management consulting, demonstrating knowledge of the healthcare industry  
      • Operational or clinical experience gained from within the UK Health sector (NHS)
      • At least 12 months experience gained from within a consulting environment, preferably within health
      • Ability to think strategically and support the development of comprehensive plans to address complex healthcare challenges 
      • Project management skills to deliver within own workstream to overall project timelines 
      • Proficiency in research and data analysis, with the ability to collect, interpret, and leverage complex data sets for informed decision-making  
      • Good communication and interpersonal skills to present findings and establish and nurture client relationships 
      • Demonstration of business development acumen, such as contributing to high-quality proposals  
      • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices 
      • Willingness and ability to travel 
      • Educated to a degree level (or equivalent experience)

We follow a hybrid working model that balances in person connections and remote work to drive exceptional client impact. We enjoy working in person together with clients and colleagues and work where clients need us to be.

In supporting flexibility and remote working, team members can work from home one day per week as standard. Additionally, we offer 44 remote working days per year  which can be used to top up your working from home days and enable you to work from home up to two days per week-subject to client needs. The Role

As Board Intelligence expands our tech-supported advisory services, we are seeking a skilled consultant who combines logical thinking, c-suite level credibility, outstanding communication and commercial nous. You will play a key role in scoping and delivering projects for our clients. This role requires a motivated consulting professional, with excellent communication skills and an analytical mindset.

This role is an hybrid position based in our London office.

Responsibilities

Commercial Impact 

  • Skilled ability to take a brief, listen to client needs and scope a proposal in response, and continually seek opportunities for referrals and on-sell within existing projects 
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence, advise and coach.  
  • Deliver against a quota for consulting revenue and sales of our technology products. 

Project and Sales Process Discipline  

  • Lead projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction. 
  • Own the full sales cycle; from initial enquiry to proposal, contracting, and handover. 
  • Maintain accurate internal systems and reporting with attention to detail and pride in precision. 
  • Work independently or collaboratively on larger projects, with strong quality assurance and stakeholder management. 

Delivery of Board Intelligence IP and content 

  • Develop actionable governance insights through board effectiveness reviews and bespoke projects and clearly communicate recommendations that drive organisational improvement. 
  • Lead and facilitate high-impact workshops and discussions with executives and board members. 
  • Craft clear and visually engaging stories using PowerPoint for presentations and workshops.

Required Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years proven consulting/advisory experience, ideally focused on governance-related matters and/or advising boards/executives (this could be an internal role e.g. managing a remediation within a large, regulated business)  
    • You’ll be equipped with the core consulting skillset and will have delivered projects to corporate or financial services clients.  
    • Experience working on client proposals, growing existing clients and bringing in new clients.

In this role, your primary focus will be on establishing senior-level engagement within existing and new clients within Telecommunications, Media and Technology industries. You will be responsible for identifying, shaping, selling, and delivering consulting-led opportunities. Building connections with decision-makers and influencers, both at CXO levels and below, will be crucial. Through these relationships, you will emphasise the value our services bring to the table, irrespective of immediate sales prospects. You will also contribute innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to executives, aiming to broaden our impact.
Through tailored value propositions, you will communicate how our company differentiates itself and addresses clients' specific needs. Additionally, you will continuously assess, clarify, and validate customer requirements to ensure their evolving needs are met. Your tenacity in following up with customers will be key in transitioning discussions into concrete interest and deal execution. Your negotiation skills will be geared towards achieving pricing and commercial agreements that align with our profitability objectives.
You will also;
+ Leverage global offerings, capabilities, and case studies to provide tailored proposals to new and existing clients.
+ Achieve a minimum new consulting revenue target to be agreed upon and a utilisation requirement of at least 40%.
+ Lead efforts in developing solutions that best cater to customer needs, including defining project deliverables and coordinating the involvement of cross-functional company personnel.
