My client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality polythene products, supplying a wide range of sectors across the UK. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a skilled Machine Operator / Extrusion Operator to join their production team.
The chosen candidate will be a proactive member of the team, working within the extrusion department, producing high-quality polythene products. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining production standards are essential.
Experience within bagging or polythene conversion would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor extrusion machinery to produce polythene film and products to specification.
- Set up machines, adjust settings, and ensure optimal performance during production runs.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required standards and customer specifications.
- Carry out basic maintenance and troubleshooting on extrusion and associated equipment.
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly production targets.
- Follow health & safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Accurately complete production records and reporting as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Extrusion Operator, or within a similar manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of bagging, polythene extrusion, or plastic film production would be highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Our client are a successful and well established engineering company with a proven track record in their industry and are looking for a Saw Operator / Machine Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will ideally have worked within a stockholding environment (either Steel, Aluminium or Wood or Engineering) and have experience of operating cutting machines, with some understanding of working from drawings. You will also hold a forklift licence (Reach and Counterbalance preferred - will accept inhouse), although they will consider candidates who only hold a Counterbalance certificate.
Duties of the Saw Operator / Machine Operator will involve:
- Operating Saw Machines to cut material to size (will train)
- Loading and Unloading vehicles
- Putting stock away on racking
- Order picking and packing
- Taking part in stock checks (as and when required)
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and have excellent attention to detail, as well as good numeracy and literacy skills. This role will involve a mixture of forklift work to unload vehicles, as well as some handballing.
In return you will be joining a highly successful and well established organisation, who have significant expansion and investment plans for the future.

• Operate machinery including skid steers, telehandlers, and other plant equipment on solar farm projects
