Hi! We have a contract attorney opening with a major Fortune 500 company that manufacturers chemical and exhaust systems technology for diesel- and gas-powered equipment. Hybrid work schedule in the Paddington area the next 3-6 months. Hours will vary between 20-40 depending on the week. Start date is likely Sept/October with onboarding time. Here is the job description: ESG Support needed: - Assistance with Horizon scanning legislation tool: review, admin, pulling reports, coordinating with other legal team members - Initial research on new legislation, new guidance, benchmarking - providing legal support on specific projects e.g. EUDR, CBAM - support specifically on CSRD and CSDDD - support with reviewing ESG reports and disclosures e.g. UK CRFD reports, CSRD - support on ESG contract clauses project: co-ordination of meeting, collecting data on clauses, help drafting clauses - help drafting standard customer/supplier responses - support with reviewing comms, comms ESG playbook, - support reviewing new processes and policies for compliance - support with more admin focus tasks e.g. tracking authorized people to submit CBAM reports or buy CBAM certificates, submit EUDR due diligence statements - support with ad hoc queries on emissions and non-emissions (ranges from review of notification documents, to specific questions on legislation so support will depend on level of legal qualification) Commercial Contract Support needed: Advising on, drafting and negotiating sales, distribution, and customer contracts.
