Role: Legal Administration Assistant
Salary: Up to 24k
Location: Tamworth

Our well established client are seeking a motivated administration assistant to join their corporate/commercial department.

The role will involve performing a broad range of administrative tasks including:

  • Audio and copy typing, word processing, document management, filing, and completing standard legal forms.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of legal files, including opening, closing, and time recording.
  • Answer incoming calls, take detailed messages, and ensure appropriate follow-up or escalation to the relevant lawyer.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, ensuring all necessary documents and materials are prepared in advance.
  • Carry out routine office duties such as photocopying, preparing mail, and offering refreshments to clients and legal staff.
  • Undertake any additional duties reasonably requested by Fee Earners, the Head of Department, or Directors.


Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in an administrative or office support role.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Skilled in handling multiple tasks and managing competing deadlines effectively.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Capable of performing well under pressure while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional tone
  • Confident in typing and data entry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Discreet and trustworthy when working with sensitive or confidential information.

Our client, a leading local law firm prides themselves on their high quality and specialist services, a lovely office culture and the understanding around the importance of always ensuring excellent client care. As a result, they are on the hunt for an experienced Legal Secretary / Conveyancing Assistant to join their offices on the outskirts of Tamworth

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • Current or recent experience of working in a Legal Secretary / Conveyancing Assistant role
  • Experience within a conveyancing department providing high quality support in this area
  • Good understanding of the full conveyancing process for both a sale and a purchase

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and a good understanding of how a conveyancing team operates.

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Dealing with a range of clients in a professional manner
  • Completing Digital dictation (experience is a bonus)
  • Supporting across a wide range of residential matters
  • Supporting with Land Registry Portal Submissions
  • Carrying out a wide range of administrative duties including filing & photocopying, diary management
  • Assisting other members of the department as required


Salary & Working Hours

Salary is £24,000 - £26,000pa depending on experience with standard working hours of 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-respected law firm as a Legal Finance & Admin Assistant , handling the day-to-day accounts function and providing vital administrative support.

The role:
  • p>Managing daily accounts operations, including bank reconciliations

  • Processing client and supplier payments

  • Making payments to third parties and ensuring accuracy in all transactions

  • Handling both Office and Client accounts, ensuring compliance and accuracy

  • Maintaining accurate records and assisting with general office administration

  • Following best practice in cyber security and compliance (training provided)

What we’re looking for:

    Experience in a finance/accounts role ideally within a legal environment, bookkeeping, or credit control

  • Confident in making payments and understanding Office vs Client account processes

  • Solid, stable career background with a track record of reliability

  • Awareness of cyber security practices (training will be provided)

  • Salary up to £28,000 pro rata
