Group Travel Manager - Destination Management Company, West London, c50k. An excellent opportunity to join this well established DMC that provide bespoke travel solutions for groups of leisure and corporate (MICE) travellers inbound to Europe.
Group Travel Manager Responsibilities
- Leading a team of around 6 people within sales and operations
- Account managing, growing and retaining a portfolio of clients from all around the world
- Convert leads and enquiries into confirmed bookings to drive new sales.
- Creating tailored and bespoke travel itineraries in line with client requirements featuring accommodation venues, transport, escorted tours and experience across Europe.
- Negotiating terms and conditions with b2b agents / partners
- Provide on tour support for groups during office hours and part of a team that shares some out of hours support.
Group Travel Manager Skills Required
- Strong experience of creating and delivering group travel itineraries across Europe, preferably for a DMC but similar wholesale and tour operating experience is also of interest.
- Experience in both sales and operations within the travel industry.
- Experience leading and developing a small team
- Experience managing budgets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Additional European languages an advantage but not essential
- During high season there may bne occasional requirements to work outside the core "9-5" hours to meet business needs.

- A basic salary in the region of 50,000 per annum depending on experience
- This is an office based role in West London. Post probation there is the option to work remotely one day a week.

- Team player with independent work ability, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in French advantageous but not essential
- Additional fluency in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese or German may also be beneficial
- Strong networking skills, ideally knowledgeable in travel/tourism, especially French and North American/Canadian markets
- Creative, confident, detail-oriented, and flexible with the ability to work outside regular hours.
- Experienced in travel trade (preferably with a tour operator) - preferable
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK, and proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

We have a brand new, fabulous opportunity for experienced travel consultants to join a specialist travel company based in the heart of Birmingham city centre.
If you’re looking at building a solid career in group travel and are an expert in travel planning and organisation (and ideally have a second European language,) we’d love to hear from you!
In this fast-paced role, you’ll be working with your group leader to create, develop and organise bespoke cultural and tour itineraries to the UK, Europe, and far beyond. You’ll be the primary contact for your customers throughout the booking journey, providing outstanding customer service and managing every aspect of their trip. You’ll also liaise with suppliers and ensure that they meet the necessary standards.
This is an office-based role in Birmingham city centre and our client can offer is a competitive salary plus commission. Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 9am - 5.30pm, 9am - 4pm on Friday with reduced hours 10am - 3.30pm during August.
