Senior EHV Cost Estimator UK wide / Flexible Permanent Competitive + Car/Car Allowance + Flexible Benefits Summary Freedom Network Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Operational Estimator to compile comprehensive estimations in line with supplied documentation and current standards.As a EHV Senior Cost Estimator you will take the lead on surveying/pricing new Connection Projects and be responsible for managing and delivering accurate, tailored estimates in a timely efficient manner. The Estimator is a key player in driving company growth

by ensuring enquiries are dealt with efficiently whilst being accurate and adhering to the client’s specification.

You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working/pricing local DNO networks and/or National Grid projects including ICP and IDNO connections. Typical projects/pricing will incorporate Scaffolding, Trackway, Traffic management, Materials,

plant, equipment and Resources. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

Preparation of quotations from specifications and drawings within defined time periodsOn site Surveys/site assessments and evaluate any risks and potential problems/financial delivery damagesEvaluations of options or alternativesResponsible for the checking of accuracy and completeness of 3rd party documents and engineering specificationsIn conjunction with procurement, liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain the best available quotationsProduce formal quotation documentationLiaising with operational colleaguesAttend handover meetings were required and explain project scope, estimate, clarifications and assumptions. What we’re looking for:

This team provides Quantity Surveying/Cost and Commercial Management, Programme and Project Management and Project Controls services to deliver both Building and Infrastructure projects for public and private clients. You will be within one of our four groups - **Civil Infrastructure and Utilities** . For your information, our other groups within PMCM are Buildings, Programme Solutions, and Rail.
You will be based in one of our offices in **MANCHESTER, BIRMINGHAM, TEESIDE, BRISTOL & GUILDFORD** which are near public transport, and shops/local eateries.

**Essential**
+ AssocRICS working towards MRICS or a desire to do so.
+ Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to demonstrate some knowledge, ability and experience with regard to estimating at various design stages, measurement/methods of measurement and digital tools and post contract administration (NEC, JCT)
**Desirable**
+ Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
+ Adaptable and flexible approach to workload
+ Are passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a dynamic team
+ Have an alternative, relevant, professional qualification or working towards (e.g. CICES, AcostE)
+ Hold a degree, or similar higher education academic qualification
+ Have proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
+ Familiarity or working knowledge of specialist software such as CostX and CEMAR
+ Working knowledge/experience of NEC Contracts and other industry standard contract forms
+ Ability to travel from base office or home to site, client/project team offices, other WSP offices, and project locations

You will play a pivotal role in pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying (QS) services to our clients - especially measurement, estimating, procurement and post-contract commercial management of projects ranging in size and complexity.

You will join a diverse, growing team of Quantity Surveyors specialising in estimating and cost management, who work across multiple sectors including highways, structures, public realm, property and maritime.
