You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working/pricing local DNO networks and/or National Grid projects including ICP and IDNO connections. Typical projects/pricing will incorporate Scaffolding, Trackway, Traffic management, Materials,
plant, equipment and Resources. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
Preparation of quotations from specifications and drawings within defined time periodsOn site Surveys/site assessments and evaluate any risks and potential problems/financial delivery damagesEvaluations of options or alternativesResponsible for the checking of accuracy and completeness of 3rd party documents and engineering specificationsIn conjunction with procurement, liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain the best available quotationsProduce formal quotation documentationLiaising with operational colleaguesAttend handover meetings were required and explain project scope, estimate, clarifications and assumptions. What we’re looking for:

Senior Estimator / Cost Estimator with a strong background working on large civil engineering projects (earthworks, tunnelling, bridges etc) required for a permanent or contract opportunity in London.
This role will see you work on a wide variety of civil engineering projects across the rail, nuclear and highways sectors. Hybrid working is offered by applicants must be happy to work three days a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing detailed cost estimates for large earthworks packages, bridges, tunnels, and other heavy civils works

- Extensive experience in estimating within heavy civils projects
- Knowledge of key sectors such as Highways, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, and Rail
- Competent in using estimating software and other relevant tools
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field
