**Job Description**
As an American Express Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor, this person will provide a specialized servicing to client travelers that will require high touch service.
The Travel Counselor should be prepared to offer a unique level of service, outstanding GDS skills, as well as vast destination knowledge.
This Travel Counselor will be accountable for both individual goals, as well as shared team goals, and will be responsible for providing customer service
and accurate completion of both international, domestic travel arrangements, and special requests.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm CET.
**Required Skills/Qualifications** :
The Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
+ Must have at least 2+ years of corporate travel counselor experience.
+ 2+years of native Amadeus GDS experience (until end of year without tools such as SBP or Speedway)
+ Booking and quotation of the desired trips (flight, train), considering the conditions specified by the service providers and the Global Business Travel Preferred Supplier Strategy
+ Ability to creative logistics planning, considering all possibilities while respecting the customer's travel policy
+ Handling incoming customer inquiries mainly by email with Outlook/Salesforce, but also by phone
+ Very good knowledge in the field of flight / train, preferably also for group bookings (The area groups can be learned in a training!)
+ Interest and pleasure in working with reservation systems and participant registration solutions such as Meeting Central
+ IT affinity, experienced in MS Office, especially Excel knowledge is advantageous and is needed for daily work
+ Structured work and time management
+ Team spirit, especially in connection with the willingness to accept technical instructions from the project manager / senior project manager
+ Very good communication towards the customers (above all persuasiveness) and proactive service thinking
+ Interest in the job and continuous, independent further training
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch,(French) **and** English preferable
+ Ability to learn quickly.
+ Back-office experience is highly preferred.
+ Troubleshooting resourcefulness.
