What’s the Most Challenging Thing About This Role?

You’ll be juggling a variety of projects, from quick-turnaround tasks to more complex, large-scale initiatives.

Balancing creativity with commercial deadlines requires strong organisational skills, clear communication, and the ability to stay focused without compromising on quality.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience as an instructional, content, or eLearning designer in a commercial setting (ideally in a commercial learning business).
  • A strong track record in designing, developing, and quality-assuring both instructor-led and digital learning content.
  • Solid understanding of instructional design theory and hands-on experience with learning, such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Practical experience integrating AI tools into learning development and delivery processes.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, SCORM/ xAPI standards, and learning analytics.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and inclusive design principles.
  • Experience scripting and storyboarding for video and multimedia content.
  • Confidence using project management and asset management tools.

To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:

  • Experience working in regulated industries such as financial compliance, governance, or similar sectors.
  • Degree-level education in instructional design, learning theory, pedagogy or related field.
  • Hands-on experience scripting and storyboarding for video production and multimedia content.
  • A solid understanding of learning analytics and how to apply data-driven design approaches.
  • Familiarity with agile or iterative development methodologies.

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.
