One of the UKs leading leading Groundworks & Civil Engineering Contractors requires a Tower Crane Operator to start work in Chelmsford with on going work.
The Core Duties would include using Crane's controls to safely lift and move materials on a construction site, requiring daily checks, load monitoring, communication with the ground crew and strict adherence to safety regulations.
Location: Chelmsford
Start Date: Monday 6th October
Pay: £25 - £26 Per hour -D.O.E x9.5 hours paid per day
Payment model: Weekly
Must Haves: CPCS Card Blue

Overview:
First Military Recruitment are working in partnership with a fantastic business to recruit a Class 1 Crane Operator to join their team in Barnsley on a permanent basis.
A Mobile Crane Driver is responsible for operating an all-terrain mobile telescopic to lift, move, position, and reposition loads as required by the customer.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate an all-terrain mobile telescopic crane.
- Drive the crane from the depot and arrive on the requested site at the time of request.
- Set up the crane as per the relevant machine manufacturers' operating manual
- Operate the crane via communications from onsite slinger/signallers' utilising 2-way radios or hand signals.
- Fit fly-jib as required by customer and remove on completion of relevant lifts for stowing on machine.
- Complete operator timesheet relevant to the requested hire.
- Carry out pre-operational checks on machine as required via company policy and complete company documentation identifying any issues arising from those checks.
- Complete routine maintenance as required with the assistance of the depot crane engineer as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Blue CPCS card for Mobile Cranes (red card accepted).
- A valid HGV Class 2 Licence.
- Must be able to pass a mobile crane operator safety critical work medical.
- Previous experience operating all terrain mobile telescopic cranes.

The Role:
As a Mobile Crane Operator for an aluminium truck crane, you will be responsible for operating a Klaas K950 truck mounted crane carrying out various lifting operations under Contract Lifts and CPA Hires.
- Liaise with the Site Manager/Project Manager/Crane supervisor upon arrival at site and throughout your time on site.
- Be confident with rigging and maintenance procedures and conversant with all crane documentation.
- Be conversant with the correct use of outriggers.
- Setting and checking the functioning of the rated capacity limiter.
- Perform the correct use of manual handling, i.e. Outrigger Pans.
- Be able to assimilate and apply information contained in reports and duty charts relating to the range of duties and safe use of the crane.
- Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers.

Spider Crane Operator required for immediate start.
Structural glass design manufactures and installs walk on glass floors and rooflights. We also lift and install glass for other people and businesses.
We a looking for a responsible individual to join our small team of fitters, however, the majority of time you will be working alone undertaking glass lifting services using a spider crane. You will require an A66 compact crane cert and either a Class 2 driving licence or be able to drive a 7.5T van.
Although you will be based in Rossendale, Lancashire, you will be working throughout the UK which will often require overnight stays away from home and some early starts. In addition to driving and operating a spider crane, you will be required to work with our installers and our clients installers/builders on site installing rooflights and lifting glass.
Glass/glazing experience would be advantageous, but is not a requirement.
