Network Engineer

Join a growing engineering team supporting a large-scale, hybrid network environment. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who takes ownership, works well independently, and is comfortable operating in a fully remote team without close supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, load balancers and firewalls
  • Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls day to day
  • Work across routing (BGP) and cloud/on-prem networking, with exposure to Juniper environments
  • Use monitoring and packet capture tools to identify and resolve issues
  • Contribute to automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives

Required Experience

  • 2+ years enterprise-level network support
  • 2+ years hands-on Palo Alto firewall experience (non-negotiable)
  • Good understanding of BGP
  • Scripting/Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
  • Comfortable working autonomously, chasing information, and solving problems without micromanagement

  • Exposure to Juniper networking
  • EVPN/VXLAN experience
  • Load balancing exposure
  • SASE experience, particularly Prisma Access, a significant advantage
  • PCNSA/PCNSE or similar certifications

The essential requirements of the job include:
· Bachelor's degree in Life Science or related field + 8 years' experience in the IVD or Medical Device industry or Master's degree in a Life Science or related field + 6 years' experience in the IVD or Medical Device industry.
· 4+ years of Regulatory Affairs experience with in vitro diagnostic and/or medical devices, including hands-on experience with EU IVDR/MDR, UKCA requirements, and technical documentation management.
· Strong knowledge of global regulatory requirements and demonstrated ability to interpret regulations, assess compliance impacts, and support regulatory strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
· Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including the application of quality principles, risk management, change control, and post-market activities within a regulated environment.
· Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate regulatory requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Experience interacting with notified bodies and regulatory authorities, supporting submissions, audits, technical reviews, and compliance activities.

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced fire safety professional to lead and develop a growing Fire Risk Management division within a rapidly expanding fire engineering and consultancy business.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with a strong technical background in fire risk assessment and remediation, combined with proven leadership and commercial management experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Fire Risk Management team, providing technical guidance, mentoring and support
