Harbor is seeking Legal Research Librarians (Contract) to join our specialist teams. These contract positions work with our Research & Information Services team and provide high quality research services and work products for our clients. This is a fully remote/virtual opportunity available on a contractual basis and can work from anywhere in the UK. This role will support specific client engagements on a project-by-project basis. Depending on the project and client, the number of hours and type of work may slightly differ.
Responsibilities:- Perform high quality in-depth legal, corporate and other research to support the client's librarians, attorneys, paralegals and staff using a variety of resources
- Monitor and respond to research requests and coordinate this effort with research team members across all locations
- Prioritize and respond to requests, analyze and synthesize results, compile answers and communicate research findings in a clear and concise manner
- Learn and adopt the specific policies and procedures of the client's law library department
- Provide excellent customer service
- 5 years+ experience in a law firm library in a reference/research position and expertise in legal and corporate research, required
- Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree in Librarianship or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution or JD from an ABA-accredited institution is preferred.
- Knowledge of standard research resources including, but not limited to, Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, etc.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of general electronic research databases, both fee-based and free, subject-specific databases, and legal analytics tools, required
- Excellent communication skills, to effectively deliver and explain research findings to attorneys both verbally and through written summaries and analysis
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and to collaborate with client's team and other contract researchers to effectively prioritize and execute tasks

About The Role
As Legal Counsel for Charlotte Tilbury Beauty you will report directly to a Senior Legal Counsel. You will provide legal support to the global commercial, talent, marketing and advertising teams (excluding China), delivering to the business the very highest standards of legal advice and regulatory compliance whilst supporting the business with its international growth.
You will support the business negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts relating to creative services, VIP and talent, partnerships, sponsorship, endorsements and IP licences. - Go-to-Market Support - Partner with the Chief Sales Officer and commercial leaders to enable new business growth and brand renewals through effective, commercially sound legal support.
- Contract Operations & Training - Maintain and enhance the Commercial Legal Playbook, streamline workflows, and deliver training to teams on contracting principles, negotiation strategies, and risk management.
Data Protection & Compliance - Advise on data protection and privacy provisions within SaaS and advertising technology contracts, and support wider regulatory compliance initiatives.
Cross-Functional Legal Support - Collaborate with the General Counsel and broader business on legal, compliance, and governance matters — including product, IP, employment, and emerging areas such as AI and digital regulation.

We'd really like to hear from you, if you have
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a current practising certificate.
Previous in-house experience (including NQ level) is required.
Strong understanding of English contract law and familiarity with international contracting practices, particularly in the United States.
Genuine interest in commercial contracting and business operations, with enthusiasm for improving in-house legal processes and efficiency.
- Solid grasp of data protection principles within SaaS or technology-driven environments, ideally with exposure to information security or ISO frameworks.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Clear, confident communicator who is adaptable, proactive, and collaborative, with the curiosity and resilience to navigate ambiguity and deliver pragmatic solutions.
