Critical Facilities Technician, Data Centre
The Critical Facilities Technician provides technical and facility support in a 24x7 data center environment, including maintenance and oversight of electrical, HVAC, civil and building management systems. We are looking for self-motivated team members who have a strong sense of urgency, and dedication to your team, our customers and IMDC's vision. This is a full-time shift position, and may be required to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
**Your role in our mission:**
+ Take responsibility for the critical power, cooling/environmental, security, and support systems and facilities of IMDC to achieve or exceed uptime service levels.
+ Proactively support the safety of the environment and occupants and ensure that all safety procedures are followed while performing work.
+ Perform limited maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of the data center's heating and cooling systems and the overall facility.
+ Allow and monitor suppliers.
+ Monitor, resolve, and update all assigned service tickets using a ticket system, including fault reports and customer installations of electrical and physical equipment.
+ Perform daily operational measurements of all mechanical and electrical equipment and inspect buildings, grounds, and all equipment for unsafe or faulty operation.
+ Guide and periodically check suppliers during maintenance to ensure rules and company procedures are followed.
+ Proactively identify problems and take necessary steps to resolve them. Assist with service delivery tasks when needed.
**Valued skills and experience:**
+ Experience in a critical operational environment and/or data center experience is preferred but not required.
+ Multitasking - We use various systems to manage ticket queues, and work tasks may change throughout the day.
