This position is based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK , with a hybrid working arrangement offering a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive security audits and vulnerability assessments of blockchain platforms and smart contracts.
  • Perform penetration testing to identify and exploit security weaknesses.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and best practices for digital asset management.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, including forensic analysis.
  • Stay updated on the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in cryptocurrency security.
  • Provide expert advice on cryptographic techniques and secure coding practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement security enhancements.
  • Contribute to the development of automated security tools and monitoring systems.
  • Educate internal teams on security risks and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on cryptography and blockchain technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of blockchain security principles and smart contract vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency in security analysis tools and techniques (e.g., static analysis, dynamic analysis, fuzzing).
  • Experience with common programming languages (e.g., Solidity, Python, Go) for security analysis.
  • Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms and protocols.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex security issues.
