Alternate Crypto Custodian – Stoke on Trent.
We’re looking for an Crypto Custodian to join a highly skilled team playing a vital role in managing cryptographic material and ensuring the secure delivery of information systems solutions. Responsible for managing, accounting for, and tracking cryptographic items throughout their lifecycle , maintaining accurate local accounting systems, and ensuring full compliance with national baseline measures and MOD policies such as JSP 490, JSP 491, and JSP 608 .
Looking at storage, handling, movement, and destruction of Crypto. Ensuring compliance, manage and account for all incoming items, crypto accounting systems, maintain systems, review stock holdings, initiate incident reporting, working in close collaboration with the security officer, and to perform the duties of the custodian and deputise in their absence.
In this role, you’ll also:
- Conduct regular internal checks, monthly spot checks, and periodic reviews of issued cryptographic materials.
- Brief and debrief holders and users, issue certification, and update clearance records to ensure full understanding of security responsibilities.
- Support incident reporting, investigation, and asset recovery when required.
- Collaborate with multiple departments and handle additional security-related tasks as directed.
- Ensuring compliance with HMG and local policy and procedures governing and procedures governing CRYPTO/ACCSEC assets to minimise any security breaches.
- Completed UKNDS Crypto Custodian Training
Working for a very successful, award-winning client, in a collaborative environment on high security projects.
