You will work on a range of activities to support the day to day running of our global Markets business. You will be part of managing risk and executing controls in a fast paced business. You'll work alongside subject matter experts looking for opportunities to enhance processes leveraging technology to automate activities.
**Programme description**
We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.
We're committed to teaching you the ropes and then some. During the programme, you will study for a BSc (Hons) Financial Technology Apprenticeship qualification. Aside from your peer group and manager, you will have a buddy and a dedicated programme manager. You will have access to first class technical and business training from well-established team, plus Citi's online training portal.
Side by side job shadowing and coaching with your team will be combined with the opportunity to work with counterparts in one of the world's largest investment banks. You will gain valuable insight into the workings of a large global, financial Markets business. You will have exposure to a range of sales and trading activities and work with new and cutting-edge technologies.
Your Day will look something like this.
Assignments change each year based on the business needs of the teams. Below are some examples:
+ Data analysis - using business knowledge to assist with data analysis, identifying patterns and areas for investigation.
+ Control Execution - running controls to ensure the smooth operation of sales and trading activity.
+ Collaboration - meeting with colleagues discussing challenges and coming up with solutions
+ Organisational and operational efficiency improvements - Nobody likes to repeat the same actions every day and click the same buttons, so our apprentices get involved in efficiency improvements to see where tasks can be automated or streamlined to free their time to get involved in exciting projects!
**Qualifications**
**We want to hear from you if.**
+ You have 5 GCSEs including Maths with a minimum grade B/C (or equivalent) and English Language with a minimum grade C (or equivalent)
+ You have A level grades BCC including A level Maths (or equivalent) or A level grades BBC without A level Maths (or equivalent)
+ You may also meet the course entry requirements with combinations of different qualifications to the same standard (provided subject requirements are met)
Successful applicants will be enrolled on to the Ulster University Financial Technology BSc (Hons) Part-time Undergraduate course

The role: This role is working for a very exciting and fast-growing PE backed Technology business with a brilliant brand in the sector and exciting strategy for the future. They are hiring for an exciting Financial Controller opportunity reporting directly to the Director of Finance. You will be a core member of the wider finance team. This role will take ownership of the group’s internal management reporting, as well as playing a lead role in the group budgeting and forecasting process. This individual will have regular interaction with the board and will also be tasked with defining and improving processes across the business. This is a great opportunity looking to fast track their career and with opportunity to progress.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Producing management accounts and all supporting reconciliations on time for Internal and group review and explaining variations
- Producing regular updates of financial plan and annual budget, and all other group or internal weekly planning and reporting
- All working capital management, credit control and treasury management
- Supporting group annual audit process and liaising with advisors on all statutory accounts and returns and all tax compliance
- Supporting management team and group in any aspect of financial planning
- Participating in delivery of all group projects
Candidate Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified professional with significant post qualified experience.
- Proven operational accounting experience from previous roles, ideally within a scaling organisation
- Thorough understanding of what best in class systems, processes and controls look like
- A focus on quality improvement and automation, a desire for continual improvement
- Experience in a scale-up or start-up SaaS, Technology, or a similar industry in a high growth environment

**Team/Role Overview**
Citi's Investor and Issuer Services businesses support the full securities lifecycle including issuance, custody, funds servicing, lending and collateral services. **What you'll do**
You will support our global Digital Assets agenda by providing subject matter expertise across the business and driving the development and commercialisation of digital asset solutions including tokenization and custody capabilities. You will be responsible for digital asset product development working closely with the Product, Operations and Technology partners across the organisation. Responsibilities include product development & management, legal & risk analysis, supporting technology and operations requirements, taking initiatives through internal governance and approvals, developing commercial models and supporting the sales and onboarding processes.
+ Execute initiatives to develop new digital asset capabilities. The Product Manager will be required to work with the business owners to prioritise, develop and implement change in line with business drivers.
+ Manage and support the product implementation process, and driving engagement with partners such as product management, operations, technology, risk, legal, compliance and client management.
+ Working with product management and operations to prepare business requirement documents for technology development, including a clear definition of success criteria.
+ Prepare product scope, governance and approval documentation and manage internal approval processes.
+ Act as a Digital assets subject matter expert.
+ Contribute to the digital asset strategy, planning and commercial models.
+ Represent the firm on external initiatives or advocacy efforts.
+ Form partnerships with external suppliers.
+ Drive Digital Asset product workstreams.

**What we'll need from you**
+ It is essential that the candidate has hands on experience in delivering digital asset solutions for investor and issuer services such as digital asset custody, tokenisation and fund services.
+ It is essential that the candidate has a strong understanding of digital assets, crypto, tokenisation and DLT.
+ It is essential that the candidate has prior experience in product development and product management roles.
+ Comprehensive understanding of risks, controls and compliance in relation to product approval and delivery.
+ It is desirable that the candidate has delivered digital asset solutions within Financial Services or similar Fintech/crypto providers.
+ Client and industry facing experience is desirable.
+ Background in product, operational processes, technology platforms and front office activities desirable.
