The Job Role Details:
As part of an ambitious plan to continue to grow the business in the UK, we wish to recruit a Sales Manager for the UK South West region.
Key Responsibilities:
You will…
- Report to the UK Sales Manager.
- As a Sales Representative for the South West of England, you will visit farms, and you are responsible for sales in your area.
- Be selling dairy equipment directly to farmers and the dealer distributor network.
- Develop new customer acquisition.
- Work through the whole sales process from lead generation through to closing the sale.
- Pursue new sales leads from the dealer network, trade shows, customer referrals and market influencers such as farm consultants, vets and buying groups.
- Keep up-to-date on developments in the dairy sector and the milking equipment market.
- Be responsible for the revenue in your area and the development of market penetration.
- Co-operate with other internal departments such as the Marketing and the Technical Service teams.
- Planning your working time and sales trips as well as recording daily all relevant information from these appointments into the CRM system.
- Work towards clearly defined performance measurements and sales targets.
- Report on your sales pipeline of leads and prospects weekly and monthly.
- Participate at sales team conference's and training sessions.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:
You will have / be…
- Living within Devon or Cornwall.
- Experience working in the farming industry - ideally dairy farming.
- Driven and motivated - keen to develop a successful agricultural sales career.
- Confident self-starter.
- IT literate.
- You are happy to travel regularly from your home office, including some overnight stays
