**Qualifications**



**Required Qualifications:**


High school diploma, HND or Degree in IT related discipline and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components AND relevant experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:


Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

**Job Title: Data Centre Technician**

**Purpose of the job**
+ To deliver service support within site team at client's data centre/s.
+ To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, ad-hoc and reactive tasks, escorting and controlling sub-contractors to all M&E services.
+ To take a pro-active role in identifying any issues which need to be escalated to the M&E manager.
+ To escalate any site emergencies following agreed procedures
+ In addition, the role may require:
+ Small installation works, repairs to building fabric, and handyman duties.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Resolve and complete day to day work orders to meet customer satisfaction targets and delivered in time frame requirement in line with the SLA's
+ Maintain up to date log of work completed and outstanding items through Mainstream SI-7 CMMS system
+ Qualify and act as an appointed Authorised Person (AP) within 6 months from on-boarding.

**Key responsibilities include:**
Upgrading lighting systems to LED throughout the site, efficiently diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, carrying out necessary repairs and small-scale installations, performing electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial systems, and ensuring adherence to all current electrical regulations and safety standards.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to reactive maintenance requirements, maintaining accurate records of all work performed and any remedial actions taken, and collaborating effectively with site management and other trades to ensure seamless operations.
+ The ideal candidate will possess recognized electrical qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent, along with a City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
+ Proven experience working as an electrician within a commercial environment is essential, along with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
+ A solid understanding of health and safety practices is also required, alongside the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also key.
