What You'll Do
Turn marketing and digital performance data into meaningful insights for clients
Build dashboards and reports (mostly in Excel and data visualisation tools)
Work across paid media, web analytics and campaign data (GA4, Google Ads, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
Present findings back to internal teams and clients in a clear, story-led format
Support wider marketing, tech, and media teams with data-driven recommendations
What We're Looking For
Around 18 months-2 years' experience in a marketing, media, or analytics role (agency experience ideal)
Comfortable working with digital performance metrics and marketing platforms
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with dashboard tools (Power BI, Looker Studio, etc.)
Able to pick up client context quickly and translate numbers into actionable insights
No advanced coding needed (Python/SQL not required - training provided)
Nice to Have
Familiarity with social listening or performance marketing tools
Experience building Excel-based dashboards or client reports
Confidence communicating with stakeholders or clients
The Team & Environment
Collaborative data team of around 8 people
Works closely with account managers and media teams
Mix of financial services, telecoms, and consumer clients

**What Is the Opportunity?**
We are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Data Insights Analyst to join our London team on a permanent basis.
At Travelers, our Portfolio Analytics teams leverage data, analytics, and business expertise to uncover actionable insights and help shape strategy. As an Underwriting Data Insights Analyst, you will use data-driven analysis to quantify insights and identify opportunities, whilst reporting, monitoring, and evaluating key trends. You will be responsible for communicating results effectively across a range of stakeholders and building strong relationships across multiple business and functional areas.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of insurance KPIs, along with experience in data visualisation tools such as Qlik or Power BI. You should have experience working with diverse data sources using analytics platforms or programming languages such as SAS, SQL, or Python, together with advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience applying AI in a professional capacity would also be highly beneficial.
Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company's discretion.
**What Will You Do?**
+ Analyse data to identify business trends and translate insights into business value.
+ Projects including unpicking legacy data cleansing and garnering insight particularly segmenting our book to ensure we select the optimal business mix. Work with cross functional teams on varying business initiatives.
+ Use data visualization to communicate the business story, and recommend solutions.
+ Support business intelligence with Proofs of Concept by leveraging knowledge of legacy systems and understanding what frontend Underwriters need to know.
+ Work with multi-level dimensional data towards the ultimate design required to meet business requests.
+ Complete reconciliations and validation tests to ensure results are accurate and understand potential issues with current processed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?**
+ Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Economics, Business, or related.
+ Solid analytics or related experience working in the insurance industry
+ Experience using data visualisation tools.
+ Knowledge of descriptive and diagnostic analytic processes, including multi-variate analysis, data quality, data reporting, and data retrieval.
+ Ability to effectively communicate and present technical data and trends impacting the business.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners and develop productive professional relationships.
